Overview of the company's activities

The main activity of OÜ Karl Storz Video Endoscopy Estonia (KSVEE) took place in 2022 in accordance with the budget, current planning processes, project plans, internal and external requirements, and the strategies and objectives of Karl Storz SE & Co. KG (parent company).

The activity took place in the office and production building owned by the company in Laagri at Pärnu mnt. 556b and in the production building in Tallinn at Lehtri 6.

KSVEE produced and repaired medical, veterinary and industrial endoscopes and components of surgical instruments.

The company continued the projects started and started new projects to start serial production of new products in 2023.

In connection with the new product family, the company designed new processes for the production of components and finished products and invested in the production environment, tools and inventory.

The largest customer of finished products was the parent company and finished products were not delivered to the end consumer.

KSVEE provides project-based development service to Karl Storz group companies.

New management, production and specialist level positions and subdivisions were added to the KSVEE structure. KSVEE took over the assets of Viro Tools in Tallinn at Lehtri 6 by purchase and integrated the employees into the KSVEE structure.

All structural changes took place in accordance with strategic objectives.

The KSVEE management system operated effectively according to ISO 13485, MDSAP and ISO 14001 requirements, as evidenced by successful internal and external audits, as well as inspections by government agencies.

KSVEE carried out workplace monitoring throughout the year. The working environment complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and internal requirements.

The company enabled employee vaccination to reduce risks when working with potentially contaminated products. The prescribed health check was carried out for the employees. Continuous training and qualification improvement took place for the staff.

No impacts on the company's operations due to the COVID pandemic were observed.

2022 was a successful year for KSVEE. The budgeted sales revenue was fully achieved and the company was profitable.

At the end of 2022, 284 employees worked at KSVEE.
